Student Safety & Communication
EESD is committed to maintaining safe learning environments for all students and staff. The District closely monitors weather conditions, air quality, and other safety concerns throughout the year and will communicate important updates to families as needed through established district and school communication channels.
To ensure you receive important safety updates and school communications, please keep your contact information current and verify that you are receiving phone calls, emails, text messages, and ParentSquare notifications. Families are also encouraged to follow EESD on Facebook and Instagram for district news and updates.

All EESD facilities are designed with student safety and well-being as a priority. Across the District, upgraded HVAC systems help maintain comfortable classroom temperatures and support healthy indoor air quality through enhanced air filtration. At every school site, outdoor shade structures and hydration stations provide additional support for student health and safety during Shasta County's extreme summer temperatures. Students are encouraged to stay hydrated throughout the day and utilize shaded areas to prioritize safety during outdoor activities.
